- Jon's hair has gotten more noticeably gray in the last year or so. I attribute this 100% to having two 6 year olds in the house as 6 year olds can push you to your limits. With my 39th birthday quickly approaching, I've been surprised my hair is barely gray at all. Then I parted my hair on the opposite side and OMG SO GRAY! I'm standing firm in my plan to not color it. I'm aging gracefully, yo.
- I tweeted this but last night, for the FIRST TIME EVER in 7+ years of travel, Jon got a standby flight home early and was able to see the kids before bed. His meetings never end early. This caused him to text me more in 5 minutes than he has in the last 3 years combined. We are both still in shock.
- In yet another display of the insanity of NC weather, after a 70 degree day on Monday, we are getting 3-5 inches of snow tonight. The boys have decided they are staying up all night to watch the snow fall. No, they are not.
- The boys are obsessed with getting a video on America's Funniest Home Videos and winning $10,000. This has changed "LOOK AT ME!" to "VIDEO ME!" My phone now has a large collection of the fakest falls you can ever imagine, most of which also include me impatiently saying, "JUST GO ALREADY!" or simply barking, "GO!"
- I uploaded one for you so you can hear my spectacular parenting. In my defense, I had a grumpy lethargic Alex sitting on my lap in a beach chair not designed for two people.

Love the video, and congratulations on the miracle of a successful stand-by flight experience! I've started a rule that M. is no longer allowed to tell me if he THINKS he might be able to get on an earlier stand-by flight. He's to make no mention of it at all unless he is actually boarding. I've been disappointed too many times!
You are stronger than me on the aging gracefully - I plan to die the crap out of my hair once the grays start popping up. Good for you!
Yeah, it's the kids that are turning your hair gray. That's the ticket. It couldn't possibly be your age. Nope, uh-uh, no way.
Along those lines, I've learned that Cool LCD light really makes your gray hairs pop out in the mirror. Warm LCD's not so much. I strongly recommend Warm LCDs for bathroom lighting.
Haha. I love that your boys stage AFHV shots. Maybe one of them would win. ;-)
Ben and Ian watch the same group of videos every single night on the way home including Ben at Jr. Jazzercise, Ian's day care holiday , and footage I took of the "crazy house" covered in Christmas lights with me voicing over that we can not get out of the car and walk in their yard.
I didn't even THINK about AFHV. I *should* be a good mom and let them watch it sometime.
Heck, Nate already was posted on Leisure Dive, maybe he's up for more fame?!
I just wish my wiry grays wouldn't all be right at my temples, and stick straight out, waving at the world.
