Alex's collection

Alex is a collector. He likes to keep things. It comes from a happy place. He loves to keep anything that reminds him of something that makes him happy. He loves to have photos in his room and look through a kindergarten scrapbook the room mom made.

One of the reasons I want to do a 365 project is to help capture these types of things about the boys, the things that will slip away. This is one of Alex's containers where he displays his collection of little boy items (no styling was done):

Treasure

He recently asked for a bigger container. With these puppy dog eyes, how could I say no?

We have similar collections going on here. I find them extremely charming as well.

Honestly, I have no idea how you ever say no to Alex. That face just turns me to jelly.

...and he's playing to you with those Wilson bands. :) Such a cutie pie.

Those eyes just slay me! I love his collection. Jadyn is a collector too. It is so opposite of me but I indulge it. She has multiple random containers. I don't think her room ever truly looks neat because of it but it certainly is a reflection of her personality.

My Will has a drawer full of similar items.

You know what Alex (& Nate) would probably love? Those hide-a-book boxes. We were at Hobby Lobby one day, and Gage found a box that looks like a decorative book from the outside. That's where he keeps his most sacred treasures....and he opens it up and just runs his fingers over his little goodies. It's so cute to peek in there when he's not around to see what's most valuable to him.

Just a thought...
