The mailman came by right then so I went outside to get some fresh air. Inside the mail, for the first time in my almost 39 years on Earth, I had received an anonymous gift from a secret person.
Perfect timing, right? That little gift made me realize I am not alone, that I am loved and appreciated. Thank you, secret person. I didn't know I needed that until it showed up on my doorstep.
365 photos from this week.
A treasured coral man we found on Topsail Island, lying in his bed of found sea glass.
This morning's frost, now with better focus (still more focus work to go, argh).
Playing games in my office while having a dance party. I'm ready for the boys to be sick of Gangnam Style. Please, universe?

Oh, someone out there is very sweet!
As for wanting the boys to give up on Gangum Style? Well, you could always teach them the Macarena.
Last week while finishing up some Christmas shopping at the mall, we came out to find a card on our windshield. We were relieved once we realized it wasn't a ticket, and then incredibly happy when we saw that it was a random act of kindness in honor of the Sandy Hook victims. It's amazing how these little things have such major impact. Glad you received your message when you needed it.
Yea Secret Person! Wish it had been me!
Much love for your single mom time. We can complain together, for it is officially BUSY SEASON.
I guess I should thank you for not being completely up front with Matt about Jon's travel? :) Good luck with that, at least you can hit the Starbucks drive through.
Oh, well if it's from a completely anonymous person, then I'm gonna take full credit for it!
Sure, it was me.
It was totally me!!!!

My kids are obsessed with Gangnam Style and I'm sooo over it!
Thank you so much for recommending the best book I've read in a long while: "tiny beautiful things: Advice on love and life from Dear Sugar" by Cheryl Strayed. Fantastic book, and I'm a tough critic. I also gave "Gone Girl" to my mom for Xmas, so many thanks again for the great book recommendations.
That flower photo is perfect, hush your mouth, girl!
