There was pool time on Saturday (please notice the different sunglasses!). Drinking sangria and chatting with Jon? Exactly what I needed.
There was pool time on Sunday and individual date nights with each of the boys. My date ate like a linebacker, eating everything shown as well as two more scrambled eggs and four pieces of bacon. I've never met a kid who loved IHOP so much. Quality time with just one kid? Exactly what I needed.
I did squeeze in a quick family and maternity shoot with Brandy and family. The best parts of shooting families multiple times are that they feel more comfortable with me and trust that I will create good images.
Another reason I got the zoom lens is I wanted to be able to do shots like this. Seeing the progress I've made since the last time I shot Brandy's family? Exactly what I needed.

I can't believe Alex ate all of that!!!!!! Seriously? Only in my wildest most crazy fantasy would William eat all of that. . . . Anyway--glad you had a restorative weekend!
Dude, you could really use some pool time! ; )
I love that you guys do date nights with the boys. So great for everyone involved. Even if it does involve watching a 6 year old down IHOP food.
I LOVE the photo of Brandy's family. Real smiles are golden.

That's all!
Ohhh. IHOP is one of my kids all time favorite restaurants. Its a good thing that I enjoy eating there, too!
I'm glad you got exactly what you needed. You deserve it all and more!
ooh, i love the idea of "date night" with each kid. I must remember that. And T loves her some IHOP but TJ hates it and I'm kind of meh so we only go occasionally, but she can eat her weight in pancakes and sausage there, for sure.
Sounds like a great weekend.
