Running club!

Two awesome moms from our school organized a running club that started this morning. Something to burn off energy for my 5 year old twin boys? Yes please! The turnout was impressive.

I'm not a crazy blogger documentarian.... I brought my camera to take photos for yearbook.

Running

The most surprising part of the experience was that Nate did a lot more laps than Alex. He was a smiling sunny bundle of joy and ran the whole time. I'm not sure if it was the energy of running with so many kids or his competitive nature but wanting to exercise is a great thing!

Very cool! All of the public elementary schools around here have that each morning. I guess while we're sitting on our butts in the car commuting to TCA!

Michael would love that! Unfortunately, his school starts so early that we would have to be out there before it is light outside if they had that.

That sounds like an awesome way to start out the day. I wonder if the kids behave differently after something like that. I bet they behave better. I want to do an experiment now.

LOVE this idea. Nathan's school encourages the kids to do laps outside (or inside on cold/rainy days) and they get a foot token (its a yellow plastic foot that they can put on a string around their neck) for so many laps they complete. Nathan has brought home 3 foot tokens so far. He loves it!

That's awesome. The YMCA after-school care at the girls' school had a running club in the fall. Lily gave up after 3 days, but there was some kind of contest involved for the most laps. Madeleine stuck with it and BEAT EVERYONE to win a Target gift card. I kept thinking of all those fifth graders who got beat by a kindergartener.

I wasn't really sure how to get ahold of you. But I had a few questions about your helmet that your baby needed. If you could email me at schumanadam@ yahoo.com I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks from a concerned dad.
