Case in point: swimsuits. If I could bottle all the energy and agony associated with shopping for supportive swimsuits with ample coverage, it would certainly rival the energy bottle created by harnessing the activity of 5 year old boys. Because we are in the pool SO MUCH, I need at least two swimsuits, and I usually have to replace one every year.
My favorite swimsuit store in the Triangle closed so I decided to check out Land's End. The choices were limited in the 34DD range (that stupid 34 is a size manufacturers don't like to make in DD sizes) except they had this FREAKING GENIUS NEW OPTION:
Do you see what I see???
GENIUS #1: separates. You can choose a bra top that fits and a bottom that has the coverage you want.
GENIUS #2: tankini is separate from the bra, because tankinis lose support quickly.
GENIUS #3: skirt separate from the bottom so it doesn't fall down
I bought this set for our trip to Myrtle Beach and I honestly haven't felt as covered and supported since having kids. With the kids, I run, I jump, I bend over, I squat. This suit holds it all in.
And of course, GENIUS #4: they made me buy FOUR PIECES for a swimsuit. Instead of two. Doubling their sales.
BRAVO.

You lost me at "being a busty girl." But I do love me some Lands End swim suits!
One one (still) busty girl I have ordered some of this new line over the weekend with their 25% sale.
Best thing outside of fit is free returns at local Sears.
I am with Beth about not getting what it is like to be busty but I still love the concept of this and am going to be checking out the collection at Land's End ASAP!
I'm not even that busty and this looks genius to me. It's amazing just how much a 5 year old can do to expose his mother at the beach without even trying.
Brilliant!
I am not busty, but I do love the Lands End swimsuits. Oh the options!
Try Athleta and Title Nine too. They do cup sizes.
But yes I love land's end suits. You can also try on at Sears.
AND shut up with the 34. Try a 32DD...im-fucking-possible to find.
As soon as I read this and posted it I got an email for 40% off of Land's End Swim Suits today only. If you need another one!!!
That's pretty cool!
Also, check out Athleta. They have "full support bra" swimsuit tops and also sell a variety of separates. And their stuff is really cute (albeit not cheap). I just bought a swimsuit there for our upcoming vacation and am thinking of going to get a second one.
I just ordered myself one of these suits last week...fellow busy girl with twin boys to follow around at the lake and pool. I just got the email saying they shipped. I was already excited about this, but after reading your comments I really cannot wait for it to arrive!!
It was supposed to say "busty" not "busy"...so excited my fingers couldn't keep up!!! haha
Another non-busty fan of the Lands' End suits here, too. I love the new concept - I think I need to try one!
I am also looking for a bathing suit that can weather the kids pulling on me at the pool. Going to have to check this out!
Thanks for the review. I was checking out those suits. May have to give it a shot next time they go on sale!
