Since Jon and I met, we have always gone on long walks together, talking. If we call it hiking, it sounds a lot fancier right? We went to a nearby neighborhood with a big lake and a walking trail and let the kids run like crazy. A highlight includes Nate getting a glimpse of the lake and shouting, "I AM GOING TO CHECK OUT ALL THIS NATURE!!!!!!!!!" It was a perfect start to a beautiful weekend that also included a couple of hours at a local lake beach soaking up more rays.
Tanika recently commented asking how we decide which photos go on the walls of our house. It's hard to explain the decision making process but when I see the photo, I KNOW when it has to go on our walls. This one from the hike? It will be on our walls.

Seriously love driving with the sunroof open in the middle of January. I hope you didn't just jinx us with a foot of snow!
Love this picture as well as the final photo blog post. Beautiful.
As an avid hiker/walker, this sounds like the perfect way to spend a weekend. And YAY for seeing all the nature!
Your boys look like THE best of friends in that picture -- no wonder it's going on the wall. But, ummm, Laura. They're only 5. If you keep taking fantastic pictures of them, you're going to need a MUCH bigger house. I hear Candy Spelling's house is on the market. The attic alone is 17,000 sg. ft. That *might* be big enough...:-)
That photo is wonderful1
I love this - such a great picture of their relationship!
Love that winter is never coming! We enjoyed a beautiful time outside today.
ooh, that photo is magical.
So jealous of your natural vitamin D! It's so grey here, I've resorted to taking vitamin D pills :(
LOVE that photo - you've captured pure JOY! Love you all.
