Day 10

This morning Elfie had written each boy a letter. Nate's letter said, "Look in the mirror." When the boys looked in the mirror, they didn't see anything. I had to point out that their noses were painted red like Rudolph. Alex's letter said, "Look at mommy's phone." When they turned on my phone, they found this:

Day10

Nate thought it was funny but Alex woke up on the wrong side of the bed and was NOT AMUSED. He wanted to wash it off so no one at school would laugh at him. It was the first time we've heard something like that (being laughed at) and a little heartbreaking.

I laughed quite a bit, so there's that.

I need to sit down and have a talk with Elfie. He had quite a number of antics planned that perhaps the boys are not going to find amusing.

I love Elfie. He's also reveling some very interesting things about the boys. Who cool is that?

I think that Elfie is hilarious and I am glad at least one of the boys got a kick out of it. With our house, I could see it going either way, laughter or tears and the funny thing is I could see it going either way with both kids.

Your boys sleep soundly enough that you could draw on their noses and snap photos of them without them waking up?! Wow!

That is hilarious. Cant wait to read about all of Elfie's upcoming antics! And yes, that is some sound sleep. Not sure I could pull of the marker on the nose thing while my kids are sleeping.

I've been showing Nina your Elfie photos and what he's been up to, to see how she would either justify or debunk the whole thing. She finally convinced herself that Elfie gets his magic from some sort of sprinkles Santa gives him, and is hoping she gets a visit from some other elf. I was all "Yes! I still have a couple of weeks for some other elf (it will have to look different than your Elfie) to visit!"

Nina started listing off the naughty things her elf visitor might do. It was fine until she mentioned that he might "turn on the stove and accidentally BLOW UP OUR HOUSE." Maybe we won't be getting a visit from an elf, after all.

Thanks to your Elfie posts, I set up F and J's toys while they were at the grandparents this weekend. Faith came home to find her doll riding her pony, and all the animals gathered around reading a book. Jr. Asparagus was turning the pages.

Jonathan's animals had a meeting with the robot and Buzz Lightyear.

Both kids thought it was hysterical. You are full of fun ideas Laura!

There is an Elfie movie or show on CBS on Friday. You should DVR it for the kids.
