Time for you to have twin envy

When the boys were newborns, I had a serious case of one-baby envy. Sorry peoples, but it just looked SO EASY with just one baby. I waited and waited and waited for the day it would be our turn.

That day was this weekend.

Sunday morning, we told the boys to go downstairs, watch tv, make their breakfast, and come get us if anyone choked. (I have this weird thing where I'm always worried the kids will choke if eating unattended. It's because Nate used to chimpmunk food, stuffing his cheeks until he choked and vomited.)

Jon and I slept until 9AM.

9AM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You suck. You totally deserve it, but really, you suck. :-) (And I'm not coming back to read the comments from others who also have independent kids who can leave their parents alone in the morning!)

See, my kids would just grab cookies out of the pantry if I told them to make their own breakfast! Ha, ha!

Yesss!! These are the posts that keep me hangin' on, sister! There is a light at the end of the tunnel!
Whoo-hoooo!
(I did ask Dean to go get me a diaper the other day so I could change him and he did! That was about as good as it gets in our house. Can't wait for days like yours!)

Michael is getting the hang of this too, and it's awesome. Except that I forgot to have breakfast food reachable, so I found him eating gold fish on Sunday.

Gold Fish CRACKERS. Not the creatures.

I had to get up this weekend to get Michael breakfast and turn on a show but then I went back up until Katie woke at 8:30am. If only she could send the message to Michael that sleep is good.....
