Date morning

Our life has been CRAZY TOWN lately. To help cope with the busy-ness, we have not been having one-on-one dates with the boys as much. This has been stressful for all of us.

Saturday morning we split up - Jon took Nate out while I stayed home with Alex. Alex and I had a blast, making banana bread and hummus and walking to the post office.

This crazy kid with his snow boots and using my reusable bag like a cape to be a super hero.... we needed some time together alone to recharge our relationship. It was a good reminder that we can give up a lot of things to save time but not these dates. We all need them.

Super Alex

Sounds like a great way to spend the morning. Love the boots!

He's so great! I love his personality - it shines through even just in pictures! I bet you have so much fun with him!

We had separate kid dates this weekend, too, and it really was great. I realized that we don't do that nearly enough, and it is something that we should not neglect to schedule.

You know I love me some date night (or morning) action with Ben.

When our afternoon plans got rescheduled yesterday I asked if he would go with me to run errands allowing Bill to work in peace. When he told me that my list of stops were "not fun", I asked where he would go?

"The car wash followed by Dunkin Doughnuts." Hence a quick detour for good behavior on the trips in and out.

Everyone was happy and I now have a clean car.
