The answer is neither. The photo above was taken with my original iphone 1. As for the photo quiz, photos 2 and 3 were taken with the big camera. Really what I had hoped was to inspire people to think about the fact that you don't need a fancy camera to get good, meaningful photos of your kids. Keep snapping. Capture the moments like your kid's nose picking problem.
Being a long term blogger, I know blog comments are going to be light starting now until January. I'm planning some big photo projects around the house so I'll be documenting the ways in which I get the photos OFF THE COMPUTER and into our lives.

Ohhh I can't wait to hear this.
Love the bean, and your photo is lovely, as usual. My phone camera is wretched, like focuses on the shot, then takes at least a second to actually capture it. And kids don't hold still like The Bean. I'm hoping Santa/Google will bring us a new phone this year.
If you're taking requests, I'd love to hear about your process for going through your photos and processing them. How often do you do this. How do you organize them? Do you decide what to frame/canvas at that point, or later when you have lots of photos.
