A comparison

An awesome awesome quote from the fiasco of Monday night:

Laura: "I don't care if you fight. I just don't want to hear it while I'm cooking dinner. If you want to fight, go to the second or third floor and fight there."

Nate: "Come on, Alex. Let's go to the second floor in case we need to fight."

Tuesday night:
I ordered a pizza online (so I didn't even have to talk to someone) and we walked to the playground directly behind our house. This is part of our neighborhood - we can see the playground from our bedroom windows. I got totally creamed in freeze tag. That Alex is a speedy gonzalez.

Nice. I like Nate's logic and pre-planning.

Ps- I busted out laughing at the POOP on yesterdays post. I wasn't laughing when Ben drew a penis on his homework last night.

A pint-sized McLovin', my pride and joy.

Nate is very practical. I love that he's making sure he's prepared for a fight. He really needs a debate club or something.

Alex creamed you at freeze tag? Does that make you ice cream? (groan)

Joanna-- hahaahaha!!! Corny as it was, that was a good one. I needed that laugh.
And boy that pizza looks gooooood. I'll take mine without the delicious, yummy, buttery, crusty, garlicky, salty bread, thanks. On second thought, never mind.

You rock. I've totally said something entirely similar to what you told the boys but we live in a small Cape Cod-style home with an unfinished second floor so I tell them to go fight on the opposite side of the house so I don't have to hear them. Funny how being a Mom of twins gives you attitude and perspective of being a Mom with like five or six kids - you pick your battles VERY carefully!!!!

And the pizza thing - best idea ever. I've done it with McDonalds (only because my strange kids won't eat pizza) and went straight to the park after picking them up at aftercare. Letting them run around the park like monkeys on crack ALWAYS makes for an awesomely early bedtime!
