How I judge you

I put people into three categories:
  1. People who've seen and get Arrested Development (love them)
  2. People who haven't seen Arrested Development (try to get them to watch)
  3. People who've seen Arrested Development and don't get it (don't understand them)
The first day of vacation, I read Divergent by Veronica Roth. Best book I have read all year, and I finished it in one day. I recommend it to everyone. PLEASE READ.

The only problem is they named one of the characters Tobias. Tobias is a ruined name for me after AD. When I think "Tobias" I think "leather daddy" or "I blue myself."

After reading Divergent, AD was on my mind. The next night an old nasty sponge washed onshore so Jon and I decided to re-enact GOB throwing Michael's letter into the ocean. (Alex photobombed us!!)

AD01

Nate saw us laughing and wanted to get in on the action.

AD02

That thing would not stay out to sea! It was a perfect re-enactment!

AD03

So tell me, have you seen Arrested Development and what do you think of it?

I tend to refer to Arrested Development as a friendship test. If you have seen it and don't like it, we are probably not going to end up being friends.

So, if you could prioritize my time which would you put first? AD or Divergent? Because, you know I'm behind on everything at this point.

Also, that final picture is my least favorite picture I've even seen on this blog.

I LOVE YOU! This post made my fucking morning. AD is fan-fucking-tastic. Divergent is awesome and they should have picked a more manly name, I agree. Don't get me started on "peeta" either...ugh. Are these young adult authors trying to ruin my wet dreams?

I am in the category of having never seen AD or tried to watch it but probably should because I think it is my kind of humor. So for now, we remain friends.

And I agree Tobias? Almost as bad as Peeta and Gail? I think I might want to just keep calling him ??? (don't want to create a spoiler)

You just made my day! We love AD; in fact, we own all three seasons on DVD and watch them all the time. I had forgotten how funny it is when GOB tries to throw that letter into the ocean. I think Bringing up Buster is my favorite episode, but they are all hilarious! One of the best shows EVER!

Mrs. Featherbottom, is that you? LOVE this post.

Okay I'm solidly in cat 2 there. I'm not even sure I"ve heard of that show. I went without cable for a long time though, so that might explain it. Wait? Was it a cable show? Or was it on in 2005, because that year is totally wiped for me. Also, I want to read Divergant so bad. But I don't want to break my reading fast just yet. And I get depressed when I read already-published awesome YA books. Because own my own sad little unpublished YA book. :'(

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Arrested Development. Cannot believe it only lasted 3 seasons. We have them all on DVD. Question: Have you seen Waiting for Guffman? Please tell me you like it. That is how I judge people :)

I am behind on everything. We don't have cable but Arrested Development is in my Netflix queue. I also just sent a sample of Divergent to my kindle. I need friends like you!

Have only seen AD a couple of times but liked what I saw. Guess I'll have to Hulu it. Is it on Hulu?

And I'll be adding Divergent to my Must Read list. Thanks!

Heard of it, have never seen it :)

My friends test is Seinfeld - if you don't get it, I probably don't get you LOL

Husband and I talk about the show from time to time - we have all the seasons and keep saying "we MUST watch them again". Maybe this post will inspire us. I used to "rewatch" things all the time but now I don't for some reason. One favorite I finally rewatched - Zoolander. How do you feel about that movie? Thanks for the book recommendation.

Love Arrested Development. Actually, I am pretty much obsessed with it. I own the entire series on DVD. When I think of Tobias, I think of "never nude" Bryce and I try to bring up never nudes in conversation as much as possible.

And now I know why we're friends. LOVE it. =)

Maybe next time you could go for a Lucille / Loose Seal re-enactment. A new Case tradition!!

HUGE Arrested Development Fans here. HUGE. Just Put Divergent on my library holds queue, which I am sad to admit is entirely kiddie books for our preschool themes. I can't even remember the last time I read a book to read a book, it's sad. I need to change that. I asked for a Kindle for christmas and instead got an iPad (I know, boo hoo!) so rather than reading I play games and get distracted by the interwebs.

STEVEHOLT!

AD?

All in baby. Since liking David Sedaris is my litmus test you are golden in my book of friendship.

LOVE all the beach pics, keep 'um coming. Putting Divergent on the must read list.

Maybe possible Dec book club if you think is would spark a good discussion?!?

I loved AD and watched all the DVDs while on maternity leave in about 2 weeks. I have even gone so far as to watch the actors in other comedies (Better of Ted, Running Wilde, etc.). Here's hoping Up All Night is better than Running Wilde!!

Oh man - I need to break out the AD DVDs. I think of Gob every time I see a Segway.

My development is pretty much arrested. Does that count?

I think Arrested Development wins for most quoted pop culture at my house. LOVE it. Own all 3 seasons on DVD and was just talking about watching it again!
