60 on Friday
65 on Saturday
70 on Sunday. 70!!! It was awesome.
Hit Noodles & Company for lunch and sat on the patio. Visited Airport Park (with a bazillion other families... lots of plane activity for the NHL All-Star). Walked to get ice cream. Let the boys run around in the backyard unsupervised.
Used the screened-in porch for the first time. January 30!

I had no idea how much we all needed that.

Oh Laura,
I can imagine how blissful that would be! We are stuck in snow and sun zero temps at night with three more months before short sleeves are fathomable. I will live vicariously through you and will continue to enjoy the weather through your pics! Thanks for the glimpse of spring.
Wasn't is just awesome! We spent all afternoon playing at Science and Life and then grilled out with the K family. In January no less.
THIS is why I will NEVER,EVER live north of the Mason-Dixon.
It sounds wonderful. So glad you guys got a nice weekend. I could really use that right now as well, so I know how good it must feel.
So jealous, I could cry. We are preparing for a blizzard in Chicago.
Jealous...
That's all.
So jealous! I was just thinking this weekend that we all really needed was to spend some time outside.
Sounds delightful!
Now you'll excuse me while I sob my way to the gas station so we have enough to fuel the snowblower for ANOTHER foot of snow.
The weather was great! It helped me get outside and run on both days. Wonderful!
And actually I just came back here to tell you that I'm IRL friends with Susan (with the twins) so I found both your blog and 500 through her :)
as i read this we're preparing to get at least 24 inches of snow...jealous doesn't begin to describe...
That looks like so much fun. This morning, our roads are so icy, the cheerful morning weatherwoman slipped on camera and nearly wiped out. Bleh.
Also, I love it that you guys sit down for meals together! So sweet!!
Well I am leaving my comment since you dont get to hear what we readers think. I have been reading for close to a year and half or more. I found your blog when looking a photos for a condition a friends child had. He had to wear a helmet like Alex, after that I was hooked! I have laughed and cried and shared your stories with friends. I have tried books and gone to websites because of your blog. I enjoyed sharing in your life.
We have different lives for sure, but I love your humor and approach to life. I live in Louisiana and have 2 kids, a girl and boy. My daughter is 18 and my son is 2. My sons birthday is almost 2 years to the date behind your boys. My husband works offshore and so we are home alone most of the time. I love to sew and own a shop here in my small town. We sell fabrics, machines, and all the supplies. We offer classes as well. I bought the shop a year ago. My website is lakecharlessewing.com. Our website is in the making so dont judge, harshly. I have tried the blog thing but so far I am just not a good writer. I can tell a great story in person though. I am born and raised in the south and have the accent to prove it. I am about 30 miles from the Gulf of Mexico in a small town that survived hurricane Rita, Ike and Gustav in the past 5 years. I live in the country ( against my will ). I am not athletic, but I enjoy reading about your running. I only run if someone is chasing me and even then not too far.
I have written more than I meant to. I always thought you would have gotten so many comments that mine would get lost. So there you go, a word from one more of your readers.
Thank You, Bobbye Jo
I didnt mean to make that anonymous.
