The best Halloween ever, of all time, ever

Each Halloween, we have such a great time with the boys that I think there is no way it can get any better. And again this year, Halloween was the best ever.

(except for the part where Obi-Wan and Anakin did not want to be photographed)

Halloween01

(Actually, I have it wrong. They were too BUSY to be photographed. You know, defeating the dark side of the Force and all.)

Halloween02

We let the boys choose where we celebrated Halloween and they chose the new house (even though we don't move until Thursday). Over the weekend, we set up Halloween decorations and brought enough stuff over to the house to spend Halloween there. The boys participated in their first neighborhood costume parade.

Halloween04

Jon and I didn't think about this ahead of time, but if you ever want the perfect time to move into a new house, do it on Halloween. During the course of the day, we knocked on every single neighbor's house and introduced ourselves. What other day do you do that (without being labeled kinda weird)?

And if you want to REALLY want to make impression, they probably won't forget the new neighbors dressed up as Princess Leia and Darth Vader.

Halloween03

Jon and I were afraid we would look like dorks but Alex has never spontaneously hugged and kissed us more in one night and Nate was in the best mood ever.

We've been relatively calm despite the craziness in our lives lately. Halloween showed us how we are making the Absolute Right Decision to move to the new house. Lots of great neighbors excited to meet us. Tons of children the boys' age within walking distance. And truckloads of free candy.

And just wait until tomorrow when I show you the pictures from my favorite picture-taking room in the house!

Totally Awesome! You all look fabulous.
My girls were Pebbles and Bam Bam, My husband was Fred and I was the Cat that Stayed Out for the Night. Not Wilma because it was 40 degrees out and I am not as crazy as my husband - I wanted to be warm.
Next year I want to do Star Wars!

I love your Star Wars family. Hella Cool! You rocked the buns. I'm so glad you had such a great introduction to your new neighborhood. I'm sure everyone will remember the family with the Jedi twins and the parents who went along with it.

And can I just say that the picture of Darth Vader wearing flip flops absolutely made my morning.

Seeing Jon dressed up as Darth Vader CRACKS me up. (Did you see last week's Office? You guys remind me of Jim and Pam from that episode) And Halloween parade in a neighborhood - does it get better than that?!

Fun fun fun! Lucas totally wants the girls to watch Star Wars now. One family on our street did a family Star Wars theme too, and they staged a battle between Obi Wan and Darth Vader on their lawn for the entertainment of the entire neighourhood.

LOVE the family Star Wars costumes!! I think Halloween is one of the best holidays when you have kids, I really love dressing up with them and the trick-or-treating and pretty much everything that goes along with it. Last night we had a family come to the door and they were all dressed like Avatar. They were so into it, it was definitely cool to me and not dorky.

Maybe when they're 14 you'll be dorks. Right now you're the coolest parents ever. And they are so adorable! Glad it was fun, and glad you got to meet the neighbors. Can't believe how light it was. T or Ting started here officially at 6:00 PM (Thursday!) and it was already dark.
