Single parenting: day 2 of 7

Really universe? Really?

Alex face

Alex had his first very serious incident report in the 3s room, which is a miracle after the number of incidents we had in the 1s and 2s rooms. He was running full speed with a toy when he fell face-first and skid across the pavement.

Bruises, cuts, scrapes, and an oozing second degree burn. Poor guy! He really did not complain about it except when he learned he can't go swimming until it heals over.

And it looks like going off my crazy pills (aka birth control) was the right choice because I'm taking this all in stride.

Gah! That looks painful! hang in there...
(on a side note: are his teeth that perfect in real life or is that a really good picture of them?)

When I see that picture everything in me wants to reach through the monitor and give him a hug, lots of kisses, and a dish of ice cream. In fact, send him up my way and I'll bake him some cookies and let him get crumbs all over my living room while he watches dinosaur train.

Me request for your day 3 is for you to have nothing to blog about tomorrow.

oh shit! poor guy. Boys. I have 2 nephews (4 and 6), and it seems like they just play rough until someone cries, then take a cry break, then play rough again. Repeat.

Poor Alex. And poor Laura. Hope he heals quickly and that you have some ways to indulge yourself this week.

Good lord! And seriously, of all the times for that to happen, it had to be when you're on solo duty. Ugh, glad to hear he's OK.

And glad to hear you were able to take it in stride. Hooray for saying farewell to the crazy pills!

David Spade to Chris Farley in a family fav movie Tommy Boy.

Hope he is feeling better and I bet he lived large at school today rehashing what happened.

That looks painful! Michael had a cut on his chin a few months ago and I thought that was bad. I am not sure I could have taken that one in stride!

Stuff like this always happens when you are a single mom, doesn't it?! Poor kid...

Youch! That looks miserable. Poor little dude.

Lana is often running with her hands in her pockets and I know one day she is going to trip and land on her face.
