The craziest morning scramble ever

Jon got up with the boys at 7 and fed them breakfast. I got up at 7:30 to finish the morning scramble so Jon could host an early conference call. I made a cup of coffee and expected the usual stalling and resistance to getting ready. Instead the boys quickly got dressed, put together a puzzle, played go fish, then got out the legos to build a school while I quietly finished my coffee ALONE.

Never fear parents of young twins, you too will finally have that mythical "happily playing together" like I did, less than one month before they turn four.

It only gets better! We are fully reaping the rewards of twins playing together, and have been for more than a year now. Enjoy it, and look forward to more of it to come!

Bahahaha! Great timing!

Since everything is going swimmingly, I'll look into a South West ticket for Michael. I wouldn't want you guys to get bored.

We didn't have twins but I am hoping for the same with the older two. I just told my 6 yo that he can now play go fish with his sister since your boys can play. Here is hoping we have a bright future of them playing lots of card games without supervision.

Hooray! I bet that coffee tasted GREAT!

Mine were excellent throughout our 3-hour-each-way road trip, except for the one fight over crayons.

Unfortunately, we don't have enough wiggle room to have morning play time. We leave at 6:30/6:45. It was 6:45 this morning, since Mel threw up. Good times.

I have glimpsed such moments here and there. Heavenly!

Ok, so only a year and 3 months to go and maybe my kids will stop beating the crap out of each other?? This is great news because right now we're in the thick of it and I'm about to lose what's left of my mind. :-)

No fair! I thought I was going to get some egg, sausage, cheese...and some CRAZY ingredient recipe.

This might be even better news, however! =) My favoritest moments as a Mom are witnessing my kids playing happily together without my help.

Multiply that by twins and morning coffee and I say your Morning Scramble was BLISS.
