Christmas in April

This Easter bunny thing is as good as the Santa thing. Complete compliance from the boys when I explain the Easter bunny only brings baskets to good boys and girls.

Good idea. I will have to use that.

Ha! I was just thinking that the Easter Bunny is as bad around here as Santa. Melody started hyperventilating this morning at the thought that the Easter Bunny might visit her school (just as she did with Santa). I convinced her to go to school and ask the teacher, who confirmed that there would be no visitations by out-sized long-eared bobtails.

We saw the Easter Bunny at the mall yesterday and after we walked away, my daughter said she hoped the REAL Easter Bunny visited us at home. I asked what she meant and she just giggled and said, "I think that was just a man in a costume!"

Not sure what she thinks the real bunny is . . .

I'm glad to hear you are getting some mileage out of the Easter Bunny.

We haven't really done much about the Easter bunny with Michael. We did take him to see the Easter bunny at the mall, but Michael walked up to it, gave it a funny look, and then gave me a look that clearly said, "I don't think so." I can't really blame him, the Easter Bunny is a really strange idea to begin with.

I have been reading your blog for about a year now, and this is my first comment. I found your blog when searching for info on raising twin boys...my boys were born 4/29/09. I want you to know that I love your blog. But the real reason for my comment is to ask what camera you use and what lens. I would love to buy a new camera, and I am sure you have listed the info in previous posts, but I couldn't find it. Thanks! aherbst@sabrecom.com

And my dad thinks Easter shouldn't be about gifts. So wrong! We need all the extra edges we can get.

We have had a similar discussion around here about the Easter Bunny bringing a basket if behavior is good. Bribery works surprisingly well when the mention of new toys is involved. :)

Almost those exact same words came out of my mouth yesterday! I guess we didn't really do the Easter Bunny last year because William looked at me like I was crazy and said, "Huh? What'd you say, Mommy?" Then came the questions. "Where is the Easter Bunny right now?" "Where does he live." "Why does he bring us candy and toys?" "Does he know Santa Claus?" Ummmm, yeah. Almost wish I hadn't mentioned him!

Lana recently asked me if the Easter Bunny has a naughty list. My response--you betcha he does!
