Nate didn't want to leave school. He refused to go to the car. I coerced him to the car and the entire ride home, he talked about how he never wanted to be at our house.
We tried skyping with Jon. It was a failure. While I was trying to figure out what was wrong, Alex kept jumping on my legs while Nate screamed in my ear "HELLO DAD CAN YOU HEAR US NOW!" Then they cried when I could not get it to work. I gave them cookies to stop the crying.
Nate went to time out for putting so many grapes in his mouth that he choked. He got angry and spit them on the floor on purpose. Alex was really good, except for stuffing crayons in his nose as far as they would go.
But here's the thing about our house. Bath time is ALWAYS a fun time. The boys are always excited to take a bath and they play and laugh together. I wish whenever someone has a bad day, they could come to my house and experience bath time. Whenever I had a bad day, bath time makes it all better.
Last night was no exception. But then Nate did a belly flop and got taken out of the bath. While waiting for Alex to finish bathing, the boys made up some game where Nate pretended to spit in the tub while Alex swam in it. They were laughing hysterically over it. I still don't understand it but I know how much they giggled.
Crazy that I had a camera there. That's why I'm doing Project 365 (day 12).

All's well that ends well, right? My boys love bath time, too. But Seth has gotten curious, and many baths hear me saying, "Don't touch your brother's p*nis." :-)
I see you are just teasing us with side views of Nate's traumatically short hair. It's a good thing it's such a great picture, or I might have to complain.
Wait, does my first sentence count as a complaint?
Michael didn't want to leave my mom's yesterday either. Although, in addition to trying to get him moving in the right direction, I also had to deal with my mom's daily criticism of my parenting at the same time. We didn't have fun bath time to make up for it either.
Baths make everything better! I am glad the day ended better for you. Those days are difficult for sure.
LOL - the part about Nate yelling in your ear "Hello Dad are you there" just makes me laugh out loud. Sorry. I would be stressed at that point as well. Glad bath time brings on the giggles.
Lucas' theory is that parenting is harder in the winter. Okay, maybe just for me. Sunday goes down as my Worst Parenting Day Ever.
Adorable photo, though.
Crayons in the nose? Really? Is it a boy thing?
Ahhhh bath time. No matter what stress has happened during the day, bath time seems to make us all laugh.
Bath time is often my cure to a crazy day as well.
I'm also hoping crayons up the nose is a boy thing!
Love it! I love the danger/rescue scenes that always play out in our tub. Seriously, you would think someone is always one step from mortal danger and a hotwheels car will save the day.
Wow! You are getting some GREAT candid shots! And, just curious, how many grapes fit in a 3.66 year old's mouth? ;o)-
Glad you have bathtime to end your days! And I find leaving daycare to be (some days) so challenging -- I'm there for ages while all the moms of one just breeze in and out with their kid.
Sorry the night sucked so much, good thing for bath time! Cute picture!
The crayons up the nose may be its own punishment. Ouch.
Wow, life with boys sounds very exciting! And, that bath picture? LOVE it. awesome shot!!
