Jon travels almost every week for work but rarely gets more than a week's advance notice. Once a year, his company has a corporate retreat they plan well in advance. As soon as we found out the retreat was in San Diego, I jumped at the opportunity to cash in frequent flier miles to have me and the boys tag along. We have been beyond excited about this trip to San Diego. Going to Legoland with long-time babycenter/blogging friend JenFen. BBQ at Erin's house. Balboa Park. In n Out double double. Taking the boys to the Pacific Ocean. Maybe meeting Mamie? Wearing flip flops and feeling the warm sun on my skin.
And so it is that the biggest snow storm since we moved here is about to hit Raleigh. 6-10 inches of snow predicted over the next 24 hours. And it's supposed to start right when we need to head to the airport. If our plane can get out of here before the storm, we've got some amazing things planned for the next few days. IF IF IF.
And then... hold me... I fly back from San Diego by myself with the boys, including a layover.
Many good thoughts are appreciated.

Maybe you should head to the airport now and get on an earlier flight! Hope you make it, the trip sounds fab. I will think sunny thoughts for you.
Good luck! We're supposed to get snow and sleet in Charlotte too. I'm hopeful that it's just the weather people overreacting...why is it that everyone must buy milk and bread when a storm is going to hit? Wine and crackers are a much better idea!
Have a great trip, good luck on the return alone, and soak up some warmth for me!
Trying really hard not be insanely jealous right now since it's going to be a record cold weekend here for us. But have fun!
I'm sending you good thoughts. Hopefully, the good parts are great and the bad parts are minimal.
Fingers crossed that you make it out of here without any delays. Can't wait to see pictures from Legoland!
I will be thinking about you. Good luck.
Good thoughts! Good thoughts! Good thoughts!
Mamie lives in the town where I went to college. I'm planning to meet up with her when I attend my 10-year reunion next May. :)
Have fun!
Oh, I really hope you all make it out safely. It must be particularly frustrating given how infrequently it snows there!
And, good luck with the trip back. Which scares you more? =)
Lots of good thoughts, both that you get out of NC and also that your trip back is peaceful. You are brave flying with the boys by yourself, but I have no doubt you can do it!
Have fun in San Diego! I hope the snow holds off enough that your plane can leave!
I'm heading out there in a few weeks for a business trip as well. I was thisclose to bringing the girls with me, but they're staying home with my parents instead.
Oooh, hope you make it out and HAVE FUN! When my twins were 2..maybe 3...(so long, can't remember!) Daddy had a business trip in San Diego, and we tagged along. We had a fantastic time!!! Sunny and warm thoughts for a great time are being sent to you!
Good luck, good luck! I hope your plane makes it out. You'll have a blast!
Hope you make it out! I can't wait to hear about how Legoland is...have fun!
Sounds like SO much fun, of course I am always a little biased towards California! Hope the trip there (and back!) go well and everyone stays healthy. Kiss Erin's three for me!

Good luck...I hope it all goes off without a hitch.
(And a special thanks for the LL Cool J reference. Nice!)
I hope you have a lot of stuff in their airplane activity bags. THe good thing about a layover is it will give them time to run around a bit. Good luck!
So the snow wasn't all that amazing - it happened, but it wasn't like 10 years ago. THAT was awesome. We're on day three of no school... everyone is getting bitchy. Stay in Cali for as LONG as you can...!! ;)
And you can totally do the flight - if I can do it with three, you can do it with two!! (Wait... your two are both THREE. I take that back... god help you... JK!!)
