Every day I am truly inspired by the women I've met through blogging. Obviously I've been around the blogblock a few times and know that blogs are how we choose to positively represent ourselves. But having met so many blogfriends in real life, I know they are every bit as awesome as they seem to be when I read along.
On my four year blogiversary, I wrote an insanely long post about Love and her family's desire to adopt Clay from Uganda. I hope some of you have been reading along in her journey because Clay is now in his forever home! Truly a miracle. I was so impressed by all my friends who bought shirts to help them fundraise - Heather, Elizabeth, Lindsay, Sara, Megan, (who else??).
Love is still selling shirts and necklaces to fundraise. And she put together this list of handmade goods being sold by families fundraising to adopt children. Some great holiday gift ideas here, like felt coffee sleeves and postcards.
Then my friend Erin has teamed up with her crafty blogging friends to do something amazing - build a well in Africa. Please oh please check out the Project 320 blog, you will be inspired too! They are hosting a huge round of giveaways in two weeks and you will not want to miss it!

This is probably why I haven't blogged much in the past month or two... just not feeling overwhelmingly positive about anything. I HATE this time of year. Maybe buying stuff for someone else and supporting a good cause will do me and my crap attitude some good.
I love my shirt and didn't wait until Christmas to start wearing. I love even more that I have 3 more shirts waiting to go into a basket for my friend expecting twins.
Theirs is SUCH an inspiring story. Thanks for passing it along and for introducing me to all the good that is happening among your large network of blogs.
We bought shirts! Love mine. You were right, it's so soft.
Here are the girls in their shirts - http://erinlaughs.wordpress.com/2009/11/23/surprising-right/
Just thought I'd let you know that through the link you shared I saw this awesome messenger bag I loved (to replace a diaper bag), sent a hint to my husband, and voila, opened it as a Chanukah gift from the kids today =)
