One of the main reasons I keep this blog is to be a baby book for Nate and Alex. At the end of my pregnancy and at each birthday, I compile the posts and publish them as hardcover books. I previously wrote a post on how to do this
here. I have been very pleased with the quality of the books from Lulu.com. They recently upgraded their book cover options and I am IN LOVE with this year's book. I opened the package and squealed.
Here is the front cover, covering the terrible twos times two:

And here is the back cover:

And an inside shot of how the posts appear with photos:

Nate and Alex may never be interested in reading about their lives in this much detail, but I'm happy to have these memories for me and Jon. I want to remember as much of this time as possible.

That looks GREAT! Like you, I am using the blog as baby/childhood books. I have been archiving, but you are making me want to publish a book now. That really looks fantastic. What a great keepsake!
Awesome book! And who wouldn't love the cover? I'm sure that Nate and Alex will treasure these books one day.
I LOVE it.. did you already have those photos for the cover, or did you plan the front and back cover shots? It is so perfect... I need to do this...
AMAZING! If Nate and Alex don't love 'em, their partners will.
So nice! What a great thing to have!
this is so awesome - I will definitely be poking around that site!
thnaks for sharing
You continue to amaze me with your organization! Impressed doesn't cover it! Making a book out of my blog is going to be on my To Do List for the next 5 years at least, kind of like updating my iPOD, which I have not updated since before Lana was born.
that is the coolest thing ever! What a treasure for you and the boys!
Laura, that looks AWESOME!!
So awesome! I really need to get my act together and make books of my blog too!
Love the new covers! It makes me want to go back and re-print the ones I've already done. Luckily, I've procrastinated, and I'm only up to 2007!
I agree with S. I would LOVE to have something like this about Bryan, now that I'm raising his sons. I often watch my boys and wonder if this is how it was for my MIL with Bryan and his brother.
AMAZING! I love, love, love the way your book turned out!
I saved the links you sent me and I can't wait to try this out. Thanks!

Your book looks amazing, great job again!
I was not checking blogs last week, so just read your news on the mole diagnosis. This sounds exactly like what my MIL went through, it's scary and I don't know what else to say. I will be praying for you during this time and hoping for the best results possible.
Love it. You just really motivated me to get mine done for 2008. I am SO close and then I just haven't had time. The cover is beautiful.
It looks great! I've been so bad at keeping a baby book... this might be the best way to go.
The book covers are gorgeous!
I'm planning on printing out my blog as well, but was stumped as to go by their birth year, or by the calendar year. You've swayed me to birth year!
That looks awesome!
Love, love, LOVE the newest book cover!!
LOVE IT! I need to get off my lazy tush and finish our first, second, and coming up to third year. Love the cover and back!
Fabulous! :) I usually use Blurb for my books. I have a Mac. Blurb is awesome too... maybe I will check out your place too. :) I use my lab for professional session books, but for my blog or as presents, cheaper is better as long as the quality isn't lost. :)
