Please oh please don't flame me for letting my kids watch tv. Whenever you mention tv and children, the crazies come out. Yes, I know watching tv is an inactive activity. My kids are in a structured learning environment all day and some days, they need some inactivity to relax and release tension. So we choose age-appropriate (and limited) tv as one of the inactive activities.
And, I love how one 20 minute show can make our morning scramble so much more peaceful. Each morning, we need to get two boys changed into clothes, teeth brushed, hair fixed, and sunscreen on. Letting them watch tv while we do this makes it go faster and calmer for everyone.
That off my chest, what is up with Max & Ruby? I've never really paid attention to any of the shows until this morning. Max is a toddler and Ruby is the older sister. I watched one with the boys where Max and Ruby go shopping by themselves. Ruby leaves Max in the store while she tries on clothes in the changing room. Max gets some free ice cream from a strange man, gets a shirt at the store dirty so they have to buy it, and then they don't have any money left for the stuff they were supposed to buy. The end.
With the cute bunnies and music, I thought it was a harmless show! I'll have to watch some more episodes and report back.
