Saturday morning was another birthday party, this time for some twin friends. They held it at Bounce U, which was the cleanest, nicest bounce place I've seen. If I needed any proof that Nate and Alex are Big Boys, here it is:

Alex didn't want anything to do with the bouncing. Fortunately Bounce U had a ball area set up specifically for kids like Alex. He had a blast kicking balls, running around, and playing with Jon.
I told Jon this was a preview of what life might be like when we go to amusement parks. Nate and I will rush off to the biggest, scariest, craziest rides while Jon and Alex hang out at the kiddie rides. Then everyone can meet back up to eat junk food. I love that being a parent means I get to be a kid all over again!

Yes, they do have a merit badge for letting your child climb something like that by himself. It's called gray hair.
MAN! It looks SO HIGH! What a brave little boy (and mommy!).
Ha - Joanna is funny. I was more surprised that you didn't use him as an excuse to do it yourself! If I hadn't had AJC at the bounce party we went to, I would have been all over with JTC!
Oh my god! That slide looks huge!! No way I could do that! Bounce U is a fun place. Glad they enjoyed it!
We had a party at a similar bounce place this weekend and my husband took each of our 8-month-olds down a slide like that. It was terrifying for me, but I think they loved it. You're so right about getting to be a kid all over again. So fun!
Yes, you are SO brave. I am not quite there yet. Luckily, I also have only one who would be brave enough to conquer the ladder/slide (my daughter!). And I have one who likes to keep his feet firmly planted on the ground.
That place looks like so much fun! Glad you all had fun there! I love being a kid all over again too!
I can't believe he climbed all the way up there himself! I still take Batman all the way to the top myself...mostly so I have an excuse to go down the big slide, they're so much fun!
And I love that you accept each child for who they are, and "meet up for snacks" later!
Oh my goodness that IS high!! Wow! There is a BounceU within walking distance of our house and I should take Nathan there as he's never been to a bouncy place.
Bravo Mom for letting the little guy try it on his own...such a brave one! Sounds like they had a good time and you discovered yet another benefit to having twins....both parents like different things at the amusement parks and now have a child to share the thrills with! Such handsome young fellas!
