I also got a chance to take a picture of my three boys with an outdoor art installation. I saw this on the half marathon route and knew I had to come back at some point.
Saturday afternoon we had planned to go to a wine festival, but after Earth Day we were all perilously close to getting sunburned. We decided to play in the backyard instead and Jon and I enjoyed the first radlers of the season while Nate and Alex threw whirlygigs off the deck. Saturday night Jon and I went out to dinner and a movie. Fun day!
Sunday the sky was overcast so we thought we might do a bunch of chores. Instead Irene called to see if we wanted to meet up at the North Carolina Zoo, so we hopped in the car to meet them. Throughout the trip, it sprinkled occasionally so I kept the camera tucked away. I did get a few shots right at the beginning.
We ate dinner out and I have to call it a success as we managed to eat with two almost 3 year olds and an 18 month old without any tantrums, thrown food, screaming, or crying. After putting the boys straight to bed, Jon and I researched options for a beach trip in June. This was one of the most fun weekends we've had!

Spring is here! Spring is here! Yeah! What are the boys doing when they are painting? Are they painting the wall with water? Love this! Our earth day celebration is this saturday!
You gotta post a pic of the crafts to make me salivate!
Fabulous, awesome weekend!
BTW- I am always impressed that N&A look "nice" meaning they have on shirts with collars and matching shorts.
Want to pass on some advice for removing Ben's wind "swishy" pants and now athletic shorts from his body?
I'm telling you he is danerously close to wearing a whistle and yelling, "boys make sure you are wearing your jocks". God help us!
That does sound like a fabulous weekend!
Sounds like an awesome weekend!
Can you please come to St. George Island on the week of June 7th? I will be there all alone with the IL's....

WOW! That's amazing! What a great weekend you guys had.
That does sound like a great weekend. The most impressive part? Eating out with three kids and no problems!
Three cheers for an awesome weekend!
Great weekend! What an adorable pic of your boys. I love it!
Yay! Sounds like a blast. Our new favorite thing over here is squirting water bottles too!!
I have to ask--what the heck is the public art that the boys are posing with? (I'm sure I'm going to say "duh" when you answer. I'm just not seeing it!) Yay for an A+ weekend, though. Double-yay for spontaneity and successful restaurant ventures!
It's about this time every year where everyone in the blogosphere is wearing shorts and t-shirts and doing fun things outside, while we're still waiting for the snow to melt and, this year, the rains to come to wash the volcanic ash away! Although this weekend we didn't need a sled at the zoo...just rain boots due to the melted snow.
What a fun weekend! An A+ indeed!
