My rants and raves about motherhood, my five year old fraternal twin boys Nate and Alex, my fantastic husband Jon, and some pictures to go with it all.

When life gives you lemons
Weekend forecast: 40, rainy
Actual weather: Drizzling cold rain all weekend from Friday night to Monday morning
Lemonade from lemons: ONE DOWN, ONE TO GO!!!
(That's a potty training sticker reward chart.)
Nate went all weekend in underwear only! We did many happy potty dances!
A well earned sticker chart by Nate. I predict Alex will not be far behind.
My vote for a mom and dad reward is a trip for lunch at either the Weathervane (Southern Season), Fosters (which is like close enough to spit from the birth center), or go all out and do the Carolina Inn.
All are a must for Chapel Hill foodies. This calls for celebration!
Awesome!! Go NATE! That is so wonderful! I'm so excited for you all! In time you will be DIAPER free- just think of the money you'll save! :) How will you celebrate?
that's so awesome! way to go, nate! jordan and i have a pact that when the boys are potty-trained, we are going to treat ourselves to an incredibly amazing (and hence incredibly expensive) sushi restaurant . a reward for never having to buy diapers again!
GET OUT! That's awesome. I'm so impressed! Based on your recent posts about Alex's enthusiasm for the potty, I think it's funny that Nate is clearly motivated by jealousy. You found his Kryptonite! He he he. I'm also more than a little jealous. I just thought of another advantage of twins--when you end a phase, it's pretty much done all at once! Even when William gets potty trained, I still have around 2 more years of diapers. Sigh! Hope Alex jumps the bandwagon soon!
I'd love to hear more about your approach to potty training(can't believe I wrote that). Your tips/techniques/books you read, etc. Don't you love how day care does a lot of the heavy lifting?
Ha! I need one of those charts for my poor, aging basset hound Max dog who's having trouble with toileting (poo-balls to be specific). I'm celebrating our success!

WOHOO! That's awesome! Go Nate! (and yay for mommy...)
Don't cha love lemonade?!?
Hmm potty training talk and lemonade talk is not a good mix for those of us with a 13 year old boys sense of humor.
HUGE!! Congrats!!

Whoo hooo Nate! Won't be long for Alex now... won't want to be the "baby" brother!
Go Nate! I guess there are some up sides to crappy(no pun intended) weather! :)

Congratulations! Would Alex be willing to go on tour, imparting his newfound potty wisdom to his peers?
Oh dear, I did what every parent of multiples hate. I mean, would NATE be willing to go on the lecture circuit. (Sorry, Nate.)
Woo hoo! Go Nate!
Just like that?...Lemonade is right! This is great news! Way to rock the potty, Nate!
