How big was the box? Big enough to wrap and send a preschooler through the mail! Anyone want a package?

The boys had a blast pretending it was snowing. There were no fights over peanuts because there were an insane number of peanuts for both of them.

The peanut throwing seemed endless. And let me tell you, they loved every second of it.
At some point, the boys decided to dump the entire box of peanuts on the floor. And I captured this snippet of the mess on video. You know there are a lot of packing peanuts on your floor when a kid decides to swim through the peanuts:
If you're thinking to yourself this looks like a fun activity, let me NOT recommend it. It took me and Jon 45 minutes to clean it all up. I clogged the Dyson a couple of times, but fortunately Jon learned all about troubleshooting Dyson suction problems during our hornet infestation.

Hysterical!! Love that you encourage a belly flop! The box is huge! Great presents, Beth! And happy *almost* B-day, right!?
Oh my! I'm glad you like the gift, and I'm glad the boys had fun, but I'm so sorry about the mess! LOL. (Disclaimer--I had UPS pack it for me, so I had no idea they'd use so many peanuts!) If I lived closer, I would have cleaned it up for you!
You are one crazy woman. I would never have let those peanuts loose in my house. It looks like the boys had fun, and the video is great. But my word, the mess.
And thanks, but I'll pass on the preschooler. One is more than enough most days; )
That does look like fun, and that does look like something I'd *never* do in my own house :)
I'm with them, something I wouldn't do so your the "cool" mom :) That was my first thought when I saw the picture....who is cleaning this up and then you talk about it. How do you like your Dyson? I have been looking at the Dyson Animal since I have many pets.
I HATE packing peanuts with a passion! But it looks like the boys had a blast!
Seriously? Those things cling to EVERYTHING! (What fun for them, though!) Thanks for the video.
Those are awesome pictures!!!! So worth all the mess! But, yeah.. you are braver then me-- I have a million hot wheels on my floor, I don't need packaging peanuts, too! lol.
That looks so fun!
I'm very familiar with the "joy" of cleaning up foam peanuts. One year on my birthday my group at work saran-wrapped the opening of my cube and completely filled it with foam peanuts. Hilarous, but it took me hours to clean it up, and I found little pieces of foam for months. Definitely a low productivity day. :)
Oh my! that IS a lot of peanuts. We had a similar (MUCH smaller) incident...I'm impressed that you didn't freak out at the mess ;)
I predict our driveway will be covered w/ peanuts when I get home today. Matt dumped some into our garbage bin - loose, and today is garbage day...I don't think the trucks are very careful.
And enough about peanuts, SHOW US THE FRAMED PHOTO!
Wow! Looks like an insane mess, but lots of fun. Not an everyday activity, that's for sure. :-)
Maddie is sitting on my lap while I'm blog surfing. We just watched the video (ADORABLE). Her exact words were:
"Those boys are making a big mess."
I personally HATE peanuts more than life itself. Before I read the end of your post I kept thinking to myself "how on earth is she going to clean all that up?" But GOOD FOR YOU for letting them go to town and have a blast!!!! It looks like they loved it!
