Please trust me when I say I have no intention of detailing every step in the potty training process. It's just that this is a really good story.
After Alex's recent potty breakthrough, we have not had any further progress. I started to think it might have been a fluke. Last night I went over to a friend's house so Jon had the kids on his own. Alex started talking about how he needed to poop. Jon wanted to encourage him so Jon asked Alex if he wanted to sit on the potty. Alex said no.
It happened to be time for the boys to clean up all their toys before heading upstairs to bed. Jon told Alex he either had to clean up toys or sit on the potty. Alex chose the potty and ended up going #2 on the potty!
I find this hilarious because Alex really hates cleaning up toys. Apparently he hates it so much he would rather potty train than clean.
And as expected, Nate was very jealous of all the praise and attention. This time it manifested itself in Nate patting Alex on the shoulder saying, "That's a really good job Alex." as if he were a parent praising Alex.
PS. I wrote a post yesterday on HDYDI about my secret bed rest confession. I have really been enjoying the comments.
PPS. I'm planning a post on how to bind your blog into a book. I had hoped to have it up by now but the deuce landed!

Forgive me, I had no idea what "the deuce" was...now I got it. Looking forward to the "how to bind your blog into a book" post.
I can't blame him. I often disappear to the bathroom when Andy starts talking about cleaning up the house.
Oh my gosh, just reading the title of your post made me laugh so hard that I'm crying. I thought my husband was the only one who said "droppin' a deuce". Too funny.....and congrats!
I am very interested in your post about blog book binding. Be sure to point us in the right direction for that one!
Hmmmm, if only this worked for mommies. Although I have been know to escape there with a book when I need a break from the boys :) Keep posting about the potty training I am taking notes!
I'm also interested in your blog book binding post. I know you had mentoined it in the past and I wanted to ask you about it. Also I read your secret bed rest post and it was sooo true. The TV, the food, and the naps....I am with you.
I think it's hilarious that given the choice between PT and cleaning that Alex chose PT. And, as parents, we are more interested than I ever knew could be possible about our children's PT progress!
But, then again, I am also interested in your book binding post too!
I just wanted to send you my congrats on the deuce landing. May you more to come in the near future.
