Conversation this morning:
Laura: Nate, do you want to come in the bathroom with me while I get ready?
Nate: Yes! Hey mommy, why are there no toys in the bathtub?
Laura: I took the toys out to clean the tub.
Nate: Mommy, why are there no toys in the bathtub?
Laura: I took the toys out to clean the tub.
Nate: Mommy, why are there no toys in the bathtub?
Laura: I took the toys out.
Nate: Mommy, why are there no toys in the bathtub?
Laura: I don't know.
Nate: I'll put the toys in the bathtub.
Laura's internal thought: Which will be a more difficult struggle? Potty training times two or WHY times two?

The Why for sure — it doesn't end LOL!!! But a lot cleaner ;)
Not to relate this back to me, but I can TOTALLY relate to the WHY'S right now. Thy don't even make sense! But, they keep on comin'.
Oh yeah, we have conversations like this ALL the time. If I am in a good mood, they are funny, if I am in a bad mood, they are annoying!!
I've decided that I'm going to take the approach of Calvin's Father from Calvin and Hobbs. I'm just going to have fun with the WHYs. Of course, my approach to potty training is to wait until Michael is ten and explain it to him. So, both should go pretty well; )
