We went to Dallas for a long weekend this weekend. We spent the majority of time catching up with Caltech friends, Albert and Libby, and meeting their wonderful sons, Alex and Josh.
We also met up with another Caltech friend, Anthony, although I've always called him Wayne since he looks like Wayne from the Wonder Years. 
Did I mention all of us are old now and we have children? Lots of children? I wish I could say we are all more well-rested than when we were in college. I can certainly say we are having more fun. 
PS. I also spent time with Jon but somehow he and I ended up in very few photos with not a single one of us together. Ack.

We also met up with Lindsay of Crawford House. Lindsay is one of my first and closest blogfriends. I'm always struck by how much we have in common but even I had to admit it was going too far when we both wore argyle socks when we met. Crazy!!
I've got so much to say about our trip. How awesome it was to go on a weekend jaunt. How much fun we had with Libby and Albert. How much hospitality they showed us, doing everything! How great it was to meet Lindsay in person. But I flew back alone with the boys while Jon stayed on for a business trip in Dallas and I am tired. TIRED!!!

PPS. Yes, I flew alone with the boys and survived! It went much better than I expected.

YEA!!! Looks like an awesome trip all around. Just as I expected the return solo trip home went well. So where's my big TX husband I gave up by turning down Baylor? I guess you didn't want another boy to keep up with on the trip back. Right???

Wow, you really know how to celebrate Valentines day. I'm glad you had a good trip and that you survived the trip home.
So glad you had a great trip--especially the going and coming back. And yay for meeting Lindsay! Now I need to meet Joanna and Lindsay, and the circle of bloggers will be complete! LOL.

Seriously making me look bad here, Laura... I DIDN'T spend all weekend out of town AND have to fly on Monday with two toddlers, and you STILL managed to get a blog post in on Monday, with PICS NO LESS! (We had a great time too and seriously, let's not let it be another three years before we see each other again!!)
