When I took Nate to the doctor yesterday, I put him in the car to let him grab his own toys and climb into his seat. I got the mail, grabbed the diaper bag, got in the car, turned it on, and started backing up.
Nate said, "Wait mommy! Buckle me!"
(Secret labelling twin mom thought - good thing it was the talkative one in the car when I did this.)
(Nate has no ear infection, no fever, and is back at school today.)

LOL I've done that before too. It just so happened to be the same day that I left my cell phone and camera on top of the car. Once I heard the crash and went to retrieve my broken items from the middle of the road Aiden informed me that I had forgotten to buckle him up. What a day! They are so smart to realize things like that!
I've done that a couple times, too and luckily Carter has yelled at me from the backseat "Mommy, I'm not buckled!!"
Te, he. S has done this before, too, though I'm quite sure it was "DADDY put the strap on."
Lindsay and the rest of us! We have all done it at one point or another.
Thanks, Laura! I did it again the other day, but JTC spoke up this time. =)
Glad Nate is doing better!
Glad that Nate is feeling better. Why is it that spouses are always out of town when kids seem to get sick? I have yet to let Brook off the hook when he went on his millionth mancation while Reid's temp had been in the 104-106 range for days and the ped didn't know what was wrong...so Brook left in the morning and by the afternoon we were at the hospital getting a chest x-ray to confirm pneumonia. Grrrr...
I've done the semi-buckle to get one kid in the car, while I went around to get the other kid in his seat and out of the road...and subsequently forgot to fully buckle kid #1.
I have DONE this!!!! Worry not... and most importantly , Nate is fine!! woohooo :) Momma moment... we all have those ;)
