We only get snow a couple of times each year, so to get snow in fall rather than winter is pretty crazy. (Just so people don't think I'm going to post videos of snowfall on a consistent basis)
Last night I needed to go to the library to return some books so I thought it would be fun to take the whole family. The library is one of those evil places I can't take the kids on my own because something always goes wrong. When we told the boys we were going to the library, they got it confused with the bookstore so we decided to quickly hit the library then go to the bookstore.
The boys played with the Thomas set while Jon and I each browsed books. On my watch, an older kid shoved Alex out of the way and took a train from him. Alex didn't care but MAN that kid's parents really cared. They took him aside, talked to him, packed him up, and left. The kid howled and protested but they stood their ground.
In my pre-kid life, I would have been irritated at someone bringing a howling kid to Barnes and Noble. As a parent, I really appreciated that parenting act last night.
