The place we went had trees taller than any photo can capture.
We enjoyed beautiful scenery while drinking wine.
We saw an enormous container ship importing goods from China (the background contains two huge hints) when...
we rode a ferry north out of the city to eat some seafood.

I have lots and lots to say about our trip, as well as thoughts on what it was like to take a one week break from being a mom. But we're home and the weather is beautiful, so I must spend time at the pool with Nate and Alex. I'll leave you with a classic Laura Photo Op. Here's Jon pushing a fallen redwood up a hill.
