I AM SO EXCITED I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL TOMORROW TO POST THIS!
We never got the bill from the hospital for Alex's helmet. I called to follow up on why we had not been billed for the $3000 helmet. Apparently during my appeal process, the hospital had time to review my case. When the final denial letter got sent, they realized they should have gotten pre-approval for the helmet. They decided to write off the helmet.
WE OWE NOTHING!
This may sound dumb, but I feel like the universe is in order now. In my heart, I know Alex needed that helmet. And I am so glad I appealed the decision!
